Rock Pink had a very busy month too as Rock Pink was featured at SIX HUGE EVENTS! We were about to hang out with some old friends, meet some new ones, and raise a bunch of money for our mission: To Raise Breast Health Awareness and Support Local Breast Cancer Programs.
Here's a rundown of a VERY busy month:
10/1 Bucks for Boobs II featuring Box2Unit:
Our good friend Nancy Andreatas and her friends in Box2Unit put together a great night of fun at the Green Parrot in Casselberry. Box2Unit put on an excellent show fronted by outstanding vocalist C.C. Black.
Mark Hollamon, President of Rock Pink spread the message to "Get to Know Your Breasts" and the Rock Pink Team made T-Shirts available for donation to keep that message going all year round!
Nancy and her crew held a chance drawing for a hot pink bicycle and at the end of the day raised nearly $2700!
We took the next week off and then came THE PINK PARTY WEEKEND!
10/15 Pink Party Pub Crawl:
This was the second year Rock Pink and Orlando Pub Crawl teamed up for the Pink Party Pub Crawl. This is a great party that turns downtown Orlando PINK! There were costumes galore for this event as party goers created their own Pink Parade!
We really have a great time with this event and not only are we able to reach out to people regarding the importance of breast self awareness, we raised money too! Thanks to Orlando Pub Crawl and the people that attended, we raised $1928!

10/16 Breast Party Ever 3 at Jake and Micky's:
This is one of our favorite events, not only due to its great success, but even more by the dynamics behind this party. The "Seans" McCabe and Blake along with their entire staff donate all the proceeds one day a year to Rock Pink. Every drink sold, every tip made, every chance drawing ticket sold, everything goes to Rock Pink. We salute their dedication to this event and we consider them family! THANK YOU JAKE AND MICKY'S!
Now for some event highlights! Three excellent bands performed at the event! The evening started off with Bob Green playing some tasty jams! Next up was a member of the Rock Pink roster The Tina Nicole Band followed by another Rock Pink Roster member in The James Boyd Band. The house was packed and everybody enjoyed the top notch entertainment! At the end of the day when all the receipts were added up Jake and Micky's presented Rock Pink with a check for $4350! We had a blast and can't wait until next year!

Our Heroes! The Staff at Jake and Micky's!
We were dog tired going into Sunday, but we had one party left on the weekend and this was the tastiest of the three!
10/17 Bubbalou's 10th Anniversary BBQ Bash!
Sam, Vivian and Randy from Bubbalous invited us out for a great day of music, BBQ, fun and friends! The Rock Pink Crew weren't the only ones running on little sleep as The Tina Nicole Band made its second Rock Pink appearance of the weekend and it was special! This was a full band appearance including violin! They played an excellent set and were the hit of the day!
The Tina Nicole BandThis was the first event that went "interactive" for Rock Pink as we invited people to come over and feel our boobies! We broke out our new educational models that allow people to expreience what a tumor feels like during a breast self exam. We had both male and female models! It always amazes us the large percentage of guys we meet that didn't know men can get breast cancer too!
There was a BBQ eating contest and the Rock Pink team won! The two gentlemen competing for Rock Pink consumed over SIX POUNDS of BBQ in about 10 minutes! OINK! Thanks to their efforts Rock Pink was awarded a $500 prize!
The BBQ was top notch and we look forward to next year's event! Please head to Bubbalous for some GREAT food!
10/23 Nude-A-Palooza III:
This is a Rock Pink Signature Event! Each year Cypress Cove Resort owner Ted Hadley and Events Manager Regis Perch create a wonderful outdoor music festival. The festival features the finest tribute bands in the area. Food and beverages are available and this year the festival featured a low country boil that was the talk of the event.
Ted Hadley, owner of Cypress Cove is a great friend of Rock Pink and he dedicates all proceeds of the event to us in support of our mission. This year the event set a record as the festival generated a total of $17,043! We thank Ted, Regis, and all the fine residents and guests of Cypress Cove Resort and Spa for being great friends and supporters!

10/30 Buckethead's Celebrity Car Wash at Don Reid Ford in Maitland
There is more to the event than the event itself. The event was the final piece of a month long awareness campaign that Don Reid Ford hosted to promote breast health awareness.
The campaign included the introduction of "BraZilla" a 25" tall dinasaur that sported a pink bra! BraZilla was placed in front of the Maitland location and she reminded passers by that October was a good time to "Get to Know Your Breasts"!
On Saturday October 30, the Buckethead Show broadcasted live from the dealership and with a cast of local celebrities washed cars and raised money for Rock Pink
I had the pleasure of meeting with Rusty Reid, owner of Don Reid Ford. We chatted about Rock Pink and what our mission is and our plans to help the community in general by raising breast health awareness and also helping people in need of treatment that are faced with the choice of becoming bankrupt. Needless to say, Rusty was impressed and wanted to become a partner with us.
Many thanks to Don Reid Ford for becomming Rock Pink's first and exclusive auto sponsor!
